Raised & Grazed Close to Home
Our cattle are raised on trusted local-owned ranches, finished at Hopcott Farms, processed in our on-farm abattoir, and sold directly through our market. By keeping our food close to home, we reduce transportation, support local agriculture, and strengthen B.C.’s food system.
Supporting Local Agriculture
Sustainability extends beyond our own farm. We proudly partner with B.C. farmers, ranchers, and food producers, helping bring more local products to our community while strengthening the province’s agricultural economy.
Growing with Less Waste
We believe every part has a purpose. Organic by-products from our farm and abattoir are composted and returned to our fields as nutrient-rich fertilizer, creating a circular system that reduces waste and builds healthier soils.
Caring for the Land
Healthy crops begin with healthy soil. Through regular soil and leaf tissue testing, precision nutrient planning, and beneficial fungi that naturally support our cranberry plants, we use only what our fields need while promoting long-term soil health.
Growing Our Own Feed
We grow much of the corn and grass silage that feeds our cattle right here on the farm. Producing feed locally reduces transportation, supports self-sufficiency, and helps us maintain greater oversight of our animals’ nutrition.
Smarter Water Management
Water is one of our most valuable resources. Using precision irrigation technology and field monitoring, we carefully manage water use in our cranberry fields to ensure crops receive exactly what they need while reducing unnecessary waste.
